もうすぐ新年度。新社会人たちが学生から社会人になる不安と期待を背負って、新しい未来へと飛び出す季節。

あなたは音楽、ファッション、雑誌、化粧品業界のような華やかな夢の世界で働いてみたいだろうか？　私は音楽、ファッション、化粧品業界で働いてきた。残念なことに、本当の世界はそう楽ではないし、きらびやかでもない。すべてはビジネスなのである。さらに、その世界で勝ち上がって行くのは競争率が高く、難しい。そのような競争社会でどのようにキャリアを伸ばしていったらいいか、ヒントをいくつか紹介したいと思う。

まず、夢は一日にしてならずということを覚えておく。とにかく、全てを現実的に考えることが大切。焦らずにプランを組み立て、ステップを踏んでいく。

もし、キャリアを伸ばすことに本当に真剣だったら、まず小さな会社で働き始めることを強くおすすめする。なぜなら、小さい会社では仕事の流れを掴め、大きい会社で働くよりも３倍の早さでその業界に関して学ぶことができるからだ。ここでは出来る限り、全てのことを吸収しよう。少なくても３〜４年は辛抱強く経験を積む。そして、とにかく一生懸命働く。努力を怠らなければ、その後は、同業界の大きい会社からもオファーがくるし、やりたいと思うことが出来るようになっている。一方、大きい会社では、一部分の仕事を集中的に任されるため、仕事の全体的な流れを掴むことができない。

最初に小さい会社で働くことを薦める２つ目の理由は年齢である。小さな会社では一人一人に与えられる仕事が山のようにあるため、本当に一生懸命働ければならない。家族、友達、恋人、バケーションなど犠牲にすることがたくさん出てくる。それらを乗り越えるためには、達成するための強い信念を持たなければいけない。社会に出て働き始めるのは２０歳前後。仕事への大きな夢、情熱、そして精神的、肉体的にスタミナがある年齢である。これらの若者の利点を小さい会社でフル活用し、ポジションを少しずつ上げていく。

とにかく自分を信じて突き進んで行くことが肝心。経験と知識がない間は学ぶという謙虚な姿勢を貫こう。そして、始まりはどこであれ、将来どうなりたいのかということを常に問い質し、明確に目標を定めて一歩一歩進んで行けば必ずゴールに辿り着くだろう。不可能なことはないのだから。

Do you want to work in glamourous and dream style industries of music, fashion, magazines, and or cosmetics? I worked in music, fashion, and cosmetic companies. Unfortunately in the real world it is not easy and fancy like their cover images, everything is business. Furthermore it is difficult to bring yourself up in these industries because of its extreme competitiveness. I would like to give you some tips on how to bring up your carrier in the competitive industries.

First, remember that success doesn’t come in a days work, at any rate. It is crucial that you remain being realistic, do not rush and make plans on before taking your steps.

Once you settle and get really serious to bring up your carrier, I strongly recommend starting to work for a small company first, because you can understand the flow of all the works and learn about the industry in the small company three times faster than in the big company. Absorb everything as much as you can from the company. Build up your experience with great patience for 3 to 4 years, and just work harder each time. After that, you can do whatever you want. You may get an offer from a big company and surely do whatever you want. Whereas in a big company, you cannot see the whole process of the work operations because you will be intensively in charge of a small parts of works.

Next reason to why I recommend working in the small company first is the age. In a small company you have to work really hard because there is plenty of work to be assigned to you. But that variation of work will expose you to more detail and process of company and industry operations. You have to make a lot of sacrifices for family, friends, relationship, or vacation, which are crucial to learning. You have to be really tough in order to overcome them. When you start to work in the society, your age is around 20. You have a big dream and passion toward your carrier, and your physical and mental stamina is great. Being young young is an asset in a small company and allows you to raise up your position with more diligence.

It is important that believe in yourself yourself is kept high to move forward. Stick to having humble attitude to learn, while you do not have any experience and enough knowledge. Wherever the beginning is, you should always ask your self what you want to be in the future, and then certainly reach for those goals as long as you set the clear objectives and move step by step onto it. With that reasoning nothing is impossible.
